About Plymouth Park Baptist Church
PPBC is a local church that’s committed to connecting with the culturally and racially diverse community of central and south Irving. Each Sunday PP is host to many ethnic congregations. Our mission is to help people establish a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, and to help them grow into fully mature believers. Small and large group bible studies, fellowship, and community outreach initiatives are aimed at helping people of all ages to grow stronger each day in their commitment to Christ.
Plymouth Park Baptist Church is also a global church that’s committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others around the world. Through partnership ministries in many other countries, the sun never sets on the ministry and influence of Plymouth Park Baptist Church.
Ken began his pastoral ministry in 1972. He served Texas churches in Barry, Addison, Austin, and Snyder, prior to being called to serve as Senior Pastor of Plymouth Park Baptist in Irving in 1989.
He possesses a great love for people, a true heart for ministry, and a commitment to teaching God’s Word. His wit, wisdom, and warm personality are easily identified in his sermons and written articles. His teaching style combines solid biblical principles with practical application that encourages and equips church members to face life’s challenges with confidence and assurance. His messages are culturally relevant and life applicable.
In addition to his service at Plymouth Park Baptist, Ken has been a guest speaker at conferences, retreats, camps, conventions, civic events, and numerous high school and college campuses across the country. He has also taught God’s Word in the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Brazil, Mongolia, Mexico, Romania, Canada, Israel, and the Caribbean Islands.
Ken and his wife, Dorothy, a teacher, have two grown daughters: Jennifer Lynn, who is the mother of their two beautiful granddaughters, McKenzie and Maddie Grace, and Jessica Leigh, a college freshman.
